Assistant Vice President - Underwriting

Key Roles &Responsibilities

• New business growth contribution from time of product launch
• Onboarding of new Clients.
• Give push toprogrammeswhich are struggling to get the desirednosby innovative marketing strategies and engagement with customer teams at ground level
• Planned trainingprogrammefor new products / refreshercources/ induction programs for the business teams /cleints/operations ,disseminatingtechnical knowledge to client teams.
• Convert active enquiries into closed deals across Solar panel, Solar Shortfall, Parametric
• Identifymarket need for Solar shortfall andassistin product filing, seekingappropriate RIsupport
• Identifyand map the market potential for solar and other renewable products and activelypursue forconversion
• Quote management - Quoting for Risks within 1 day from receipt of RI quote. Liaising withRIteam with regular follow ups for quotations. Master Policy issuance within 1 day. Underwriting pendency resolution within 3 days after receipt from RI
• Acquireunderwriting knowledge, ability to handle client interactions
• Maintain100% complianceofprocess,auditand treaty conditions. Coordinate with all stakeholders fortiminglyregulatory submission & compliance.
• Seamlessly work with Operations and IT team to streamline and automate process, work with claims team to regularly keep a tab on outstanding claims, so that they reflect accurately in the financial performance, analyze the book at regular intervals and ensure necessary compliance at all levels and take care of day to day running of the business. Automate manual processes and re-engineerexisting processes for more efficiency and fast tracking the requirements
• Successfully execute the onboarding of a newprogrammeby liaising with all the concerned stakeholders like business, claims, client.

Key Requirements – Education & Certificates

• Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related fields.

Key Requirements - Experience &Skills

• 6-10years of experience inproduct,corporate or commercialbusiness.
• Candidate experienced in underwriting role/ operations role, preferably able to manage product and system work, understand processes well,executeend to end operational journey after onboarding of a new client.
• Deep understanding of commercial insurance products and market dynamics.
• Goodcommunicationskills and commercial acumen.
• Analytical mindset witha focuson profitability, governance, and portfolio discipline.
