Business Development Manager - Solar Sales / Renewable Energy [Urgent Hiring]

Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) with specialized experience in the Solar / Renewable Energy sector to join our Pune team.

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales across residential, commercial, and industrial (C&I) solar markets in Pune and Maharashtra.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Generation & Sales: Identify and convert B2B/B2C leads for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects across the Pune region.
• Client Acquisition & Strategy: Build and manage strategic relationships with commercial, industrial, and residential clients.
• Technical & ROI Proposals: Collaborate with internal engineering/technical teams to prepare customized solar proposals, technical quotes, and payback/ROI analyses for prospective clients.
• Pipeline Management: Consistently achieve sales targets, maintain CRM records, and report monthly/quarterly progress to leadership.
• Market Intelligence: Track regional solar policies, regulatory net-metering norms, competitor strategies, and market pricing dynamics.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 6 years of core B2B or B2C sales experience strictly within the Solar or Renewable Energy sector.
• Industry Domain: Deep understanding of solar systems (On-Grid, Off-Grid, Hybrid), net-metering policy in Maharashtra, and CAPEX/OPEX commercial models.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, sales reporting, and CRM tools.
• Soft Skills: Strong client presentation, negotiation, contract closing, and communication skills.
