Deputy Unit Manager - IT

Job Purpose
You will support AI Governance, risk assessment, compliance reviews, control testing, and regulatory alignment for AI/GenAI use cases across BFL.Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities • Work as part of the IT Compliance function for AI Governance and Compliance across BFL.
• Support execution of the Annual Operating Plan for the AI Governance unit under IT leadership.
• Conduct compliance reviews across AI governance, AI security, model controls, ITGC, technology controls, and functional controls.
• Review AI/GenAI use cases across the lifecycle — intake, design, development, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
• Assess compliance with applicable internal policies, regulatory expectations, and responsible AI principles.
• Evaluate controls related to confidentiality, integrity, availability, data protection, access management, and operational resilience.
• Support implementation and monitoring of AI model governance controls, committee-level reporting, and issue tracking.
• Identify gaps, document observations, recommend corrective actions, and track remediation to closure.
• Support governance over GenAI usage, including prompt controls, data leakage prevention, output validation, and human oversight.
• Key Stakeholders: CXOs, IT, AI Teams, Business, Data Science, Cyber Security, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and vendor teams.
• Support third-party/vendor AI governance reviews, including due diligence, control assessment, and periodic compliance checks.
• Stay updated on emerging AI regulations, standards, technologies, and industry practicesRequired Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications: Qualifications & Skillset:
• BE/B.Tech/CA/MBA or equivalent qualification with 2–5 years of experience in IT compliance, IT audit, technology risk, AI governance, model governance, cyber security, or related areas.
• Current or prior experience working on AI/ML/GenAI projects is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of AI lifecycle, model governance, data governance, ITGC, application controls, cloud/security controls, and compliance reviews.
• Understanding of AI risk areas such as bias, explainability, model drift, data privacy, security, hallucination, and human oversight.
• Understanding of key AI technologies such as Agentic, BOTs etc
• Sound understanding of IT architecture and terminologies
• Familiarity with AI governance standards/frameworks such as ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, Responsible AI principles, and relevant regulatory expectations.
• Willingness to work in Compliance function and conduct IT audits, AI reviews, control testing, and governance assessments.
• Preferred certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, IAPP AIGP, GARP Responsible AI, or equivalent AI/security/compliance certification.
• Strong academic background with ability to stay updated on emerging AI technologies, regulations, and control practices.
