Job Description - Manager Procurement

APAR has engaged with one of the leading consultants for a business transformation project in SAP. The project will involve revisiting current processes and automating the same with a view to leverage SAP. The recruitment position will initially work exclusively in this project, understanding the business process and ensuring the same is well documented in the Business blueprint phase. The candidate will be fully responsible for his/her area for drafting the BBP, To-be process, unit & system integrated testing, and go-live. We are looking for a 12 15-month's time period to go-live. Post the go-live; the candidate will be absorbed in the respective function.

Position Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Procurement professional with 7-8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and proven exposure to SAP implementation and digital transformation projects.

Carrier Trajectory:

Post successful completion of SAP implementation project (after 12 15-months), candidate will be absorbed back into business operations following potential positions (indicative and not limited to)

• Senior Manager position in Procurement with additional responsibilities such as:
  • Category management ownership
  • Large supplier negotiations
  • Multi-plant procurement coordination
  • Procurement analytics and automation
  • Leadership of larger procurement teams
  • Strategic sourcing programs across business units

• Operational leadership role responsible for:
  • End-to-end procurement leadership for a business vertical
  • Procurement strategy deployment
  • Commodity risk management
  • Supplier development programs
  • Procurement digitization roadmap
  • Team development and governance
