Our SAP practice supports organisations through implementations, rollouts, upgrades and ongoing application management. We are growing our Hyderabad SAP team and are looking for experienced specialists who want to own their area of expertise and work directly with UK-based business and IT stakeholders.

ROLE SUMMARY

Quadric IT is hiring two SAP PP/DS consultants to support advanced production planning and detailed scheduling. PP/DS is used where standard MRP is not enough, typically for critical products and bottleneck resources that need finite capacity planning and exact, time-based scheduling.

In this role you will design and support PP/DS planning: which products and resources are planned in PP/DS, which heuristics and optimisation settings are used, and how planners work with the detailed scheduling tools. You will work closely with PP consultants and plant planning teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PP/DS design and configuration

• Define with the business which materials and resources are planned in PP/DS and which remain in MRP.
• Configure and support PP/DS master data and settings, including resources, production data structures or sources of supply, and planning-relevant product settings.
• Configure and support heuristics, planning procedures and strategy profiles for finite capacity planning and detailed scheduling.

Planning operations

• Support planners in running planning and scheduling, using the detailed scheduling planning board, alerts and pegging.
• Analyse planning results, resolve scheduling conflicts and propose improvements to setup sequencing and resource utilisation.
• Support integration between PP/DS planning and execution, so planned orders and purchase requisitions flow correctly into production and procurement.

Support and enablement

• Resolve PP/DS incidents, write functional specifications for enhancements, and support testing.
• Document planning designs and train planners and key users.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of relevant SAP experience in production planning, with substantial hands-on PP/DS experience.
• Strong knowledge of PP/DS heuristics, finite capacity planning and detailed scheduling.
• Solid understanding of SAP PP master data and of how PP/DS works alongside MRP.
• Experience with PP/DS in SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP APO, with a clear understanding of how the two differ.
• At least one full-cycle implementation, rollout or major support engagement involving PP/DS.
• Ability to explain planning logic and scheduling results to plant planners in UK-based teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE)

• Embedded PP/DS in SAP S/4HANA, including integration set-up between planning and execution.
• Optimisation and setup-matrix-based sequencing.
• Process industry or high-volume discrete manufacturing experience.
• Exposure to SAP IBP or other supply planning solutions.

WAYS OF WORKING

• Work from our Hyderabad location on UK shift hours, collaborating daily with UK-based business users, process owners and IT teams.
• Work alongside other SAP functional and technical consultants (FI, MM, LE, ABAP and integration) to deliver end-to-end solutions rather than isolated configuration.
• Follow structured delivery practices: documented requirements, controlled configuration changes, test evidence and clear hand-over notes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

You are a planning specialist who has made PP/DS work for real planners on real bottlenecks. You can explain why the planning board looks the way it does, and you can tune heuristics until the schedule is both feasible and trusted.

PROVIDENT FUND (PF) REQUIREMENT

Provident Fund (PF) membership is mandatory for this role.
