Senior Accountant

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who can independently manage the company's complete accounting function, statutory compliance, reconciliations and financial documentation.

This is a hands-on accounting role for someone who is confident managing accounts from day-to-day entries through GST, TDS, BRS and financial reporting.

R — RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

Complete Accounting

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities in Tally.
• Handle purchase, sales, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries.
• Maintain accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain credit notes and debit notes.
• Record and verify inward and outward transactions.
• Ensure all transactions are properly supported with documentation.

GST & TDS

• Handle GST filing and reconciliation.
• Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments and returns.
• Prepare and maintain statutory challans and supporting records.
• Ensure statutory compliances are completed within deadlines.

Banking & Reconciliation

• Prepare and maintain BRS.
• Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with preparation/finalisation of the Balance Sheet.
• Prepare accounting reports and schedules.
• Maintain books in an audit-ready condition.

Documentation

• Maintain proper records of bills, invoices, challans and credit notes.
• Ensure systematic filing of accounting documents.
• Coordinate with auditors/CA and provide required information.

E — EXPECTATIONS

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Independently manage the complete accounting cycle.
• Take ownership of books of accounts rather than only making Tally entries.
• Ensure timely and accurate GST & TDS compliance.
• Keep BRS and ledger reconciliations updated.
• Maintain accurate documentation for every transaction.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively.
• Keep accounts audit-ready.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain complete confidentiality of financial information.
