Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Data Governance - Risk & CFCR will be responsible for leading and governing the documentation, metadata, and data governance activities that support BCBS 239 compliance across Risk and CFCR functions. The role will drive the design, maintenance, and oversight of regulatory documentation related to risk data aggregation, risk reporting, data lineage, controls, governance processes, and metadata management.
Working closely with Risk Data Governance, Risk Reporting, Technology, and Business stakeholders, the incumbent will ensure that documentation standards aligned to Data Quality Management Standards (DQMS) are consistently applied, regulatory expectations are met, and audit readiness is maintained. The role requires the ability to translate complex risk data flows, reporting frameworks, and governance requirements into clear, structured, and compliant documentation while supporting effective metadata management across various Risk and CFCR PRTs

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Documentation & BCBS 239 Compliance
• Lead the development, maintenance, and governance of documentation supporting BCBS 239 requirements, including risk data aggregation, reporting processes, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure documentation remains current, accurate, and aligned with internal standards, regulatory expectations, and audit requirements.
Data Governance & Metadata Management
• Drive metadata management activities across Risk and CFCR PRTs, ensuring completeness, consistency, and adherence to governance standards.
• Maintain documentation related to critical data elements (CDEs), business glossary, lineage, data ownership, and governance controls
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
• Partner with Risk Data Governance, Risk Reporting, Technology, and Business stakeholders to establish and maintain documentation standards.
• Facilitate governance discussions and ensure alignment across stakeholders on documentation expectations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ Years of relevant experience in similar role & specifically in Risk

• Strong RCA skills
• Able to make good working relationships with people at all levels, to work in a team environment.
• Able to work under time pressure & adapt to changing requirements.
• Certifications / Qualifications (only where mandatory): Any Data Management/Governance related certifications
