This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Conversation Recording Contributor based in India.

Join a remote, flexible project focused on improving the next generation of artificial intelligence and speech recognition technologies. As an AI Conversation Recording Contributor, you will help collect authentic, spontaneous speech in Eastern Punjabi/Punjabi (India) to support the development and evaluation of conversational AI systems. You will record natural conversations, complete assigned speech tasks, and annotate audio data according to project guidelines. Your contributions will help AI models better understand real-world speech patterns, pronunciation, and everyday communication. This freelance opportunity offers flexible, task-based work that can be completed from home. It is ideal for language enthusiasts seeking hands-on experience in AI data collection without requiring previous industry experience.

Accountabilities

• Record and collect natural, spontaneous speech in Eastern Punjabi/Punjabi (India), following the project’s recording guidelines and quality standards.

• Participate in or capture approved real-life conversational scenarios, including workplace discussions and casual one-on-one conversations.

• Complete individual or two-person conversational recording tasks, as well as voice or voice-text interactions with AI-powered or machine-based systems.

• Annotate collected speech data accurately in accordance with the instructions provided.

• Submit all required recording information, annotations, and metadata to support data validation and quality assurance.

• Ensure recordings are authentic and representative of natural language use, without imitating accents or dialects that are not your own.

• Maintain consistent recording quality by working in a quiet environment and following the technical and procedural requirements.

Requirements:

• Native-level fluency in Eastern Punjabi/Punjabi (India), with authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the language in everyday contexts.

• Advanced English proficiency to understand written instructions, project guidelines, and task requirements.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate annotations and complete recording metadata.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet project quality standards independently.

• Access to a quiet recording space with minimal background noise.

• A computer equipped with a microphone or a headset with a microphone, along with a reliable internet connection.

• Ability to access and use an online recording platform.

• Previous experience in speech recording, audio annotation, linguistic data collection, or AI-related projects is an advantage but is not required.

• Availability to contribute approximately 2–4 hours per day, with flexibility to organize working time around assigned tasks.

• Willingness to participate in a freelance or independent contributor engagement and select the appropriate working-status category when applying.
