About the Role
- Hiring a hands-on All-rounder Chef to run daily kitchen operations in our Vasai-Virar location.
- This is a full-time, on-site role with rotational shifts and one vacancy.
What You Will Do
- Plan and execute breakfast, lunch, and dinner service menus with consistent quality.
- Cook multiple cuisine types and adapt recipes to available ingredients and demand.
- Manage stock levels, place orders, and minimize food waste through portion control.
- Train and supervise junior cooks and helpers during service and prep shifts.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety standards, and comply with local food regulations.
- Monitor service flow and adjust prep to meet changing customer volumes and timing.
Requirements
- 1 to 10 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in fast-paced or multi-cuisine environments.
- Available to work rotational shifts and weekends on-site in Vasai-Virar.
- Practical knowledge of stock management, basic costing, and portion control.
- Ability to work standing long hours and lift up to reasonable kitchen loads.
- Valid local food safety certificate or willingness to obtain one if required.
Skills
- Strong hands-on cooking skills across multiple cuisines with consistent output.
- Basic knife skills, prep techniques, and timing for high-volume service.
- Clear communication and leadership to direct a small kitchen team.
- Quick decision-making under pressure and ability to multitask during peak periods.
- Practical understanding of hygiene, equipment handling, and safety procedures.
