Job description

  • Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled APIGEE Engineer with deep expertise in API management and event-driven architectures. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining seamless connections between core enterprise services, specifically leveraging Google Cloud Apigee and Apache Kafka. You will play a critical role in optimizing our Data Exchange Hub (DEH), troubleshooting real-time integration bottlenecks, and ensuring robust, secure data flows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • API Management & Design: Develop, configure, and secure API proxies and shared flows using the Apigee Integration platforms
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Design and implement robust integrations using Apache Kafka Integration Connectors to manage high-throughput event streaming. [1]
  • DEH Troubleshooting: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical anomalies, data delays, and connectivity failures within the Data Exchange Hub (DEH) ecosystem.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor system health, error rates, and lifecycle events to optimize the latency and reliability of Apigee-to-Kafka pipelines.

Required Technical Skills:
  • Core expertise in Google Cloud Apigee (Edge, Hybrid, or X) including proxy configuration, security policies (OAuth, JWT), and traffic management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (Producers, Consumers, Topics, and Schema Registry).
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex Data Hub (DEH) pipelines, handling message failures, and managing dead-letter queues (DLQs).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools for API deployment and infrastructure management.
