# About the role

Job Summary
The IT Sr. Support is responsible for providing advanced technical support to end-users, resolving IT issues, and maintaining IT systems. This role works autonomously and supports non-routine technical problems. This job profile is intended for experienced professional-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations.

Ensuring governance, guidelines, policies and procedures are followed to enable the continued support of IT Systems within the Sulzer business organization. Ensuring that by using the tools and methods available to the position the business is kept in an operational state regarding its IT Systems and other related processes it uses to carry out its business. Experience supporting IT in manufacturing environments is preferred.

**Main tasks and responsibilities:**

To ensure the service and system is returned to an operational state as quickly as possible on a best effort basis and following the processes defined for resolution and documentation within the defined SLA

· Responsible for Level 2 Support Functions

· Support of Business applications within the responsible locations. Including installation and maintenance of all company software.

· Responsible for repair and configuration of client hardware including all client peripherals.

· Responsible for core build and Operating Systems Configuration including Windows, Office Suite, and associated software.

· Manage Windows Servers and network attached storage

· Active Directory & SQL Services (Knowledge)

· File System Management and Storage

· Security Permissions

· Security & Patch Management

· Implementation of global and local IT projects

· Back-up & Restore / Disaster Recovery Responsibility

· IT Asset Management and Disposal

· Responsible for all client networking configuration and connectivity.

· Responsible for configuration of fixed and mobile (Cellular) Telephony Systems

· Familiar with the environmental aspects and impact of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices and measures to manage the impact.

· Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.

· Participate in and actively support company initiatives / cross-functional teams

· All other duties as relevant to the post

· May require to Work on demand of the nature of Job on ground.

· Ready to take ownership and demonstrate team player spirit.

**Education requirements:**

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

**Job experience:**

· 5 - 10 years of relevant experience of Microsoft systems including desktop & server products.

**Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language):**

· ITIL Foundation or above qualification is a must. ServiceNow skills is advantageous

· Network and Systems Knowledge- routers, servers, PCs, printers, etc

· Ability to setup/configure of Microsoft client/server software (Hyper-V)

· Ability to setup, manage and troubleshoot Network equipment (Cisco switches, Wireless Controllers and Routers)

· Infrastructure applications such as (NAS storage, UPS, etc)

· Knowledge of Backup concepts
