Job description

Location: New Delhi
Department: Finance

Ready to lead, disrupt and reinvent the sleep industry?

We are Emma – The Sleep Company. Founded in 2015, we have grown into the world’s largest direct-to-consumer (D2C) sleep brand, with a presence in over 20 markets and more than 35 Emma stores across Europe.

Our mission is simple: to develop sleep comfort products that empower our customers to awaken their best every day. Today, our products are trusted by millions and recommended by leading consumer associations worldwide.

It’s our people who bring this mission to life. At Emma, you’ll join a driven, international team that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous knowledge sharing. With colleagues from over 70 nationalities, we combine diverse perspectives with a shared ambition to learn, grow, and create lasting impact, together.

Ready to awaken your best with us?

What You'll Do:

  • You are performing all corporate secretarial and statutory compliance tasks of Emma Sleep India Private Limited.
  • You organize and run board and general meetings, prepare resolutions and minutes, and maintain all statutory registers, minute books and records.
  • You manage our ROC filings and annual compliance cycle under the Companies Act, including annual returns, director declarations and KYC, auditor appointments, share allotments and changes to the entity’s constitutional documents.
  • You monitor our RBI and FEMA obligations, such as annual returns, FDI and ECB reporting, and the reporting of intra-group payments and dividend repatriation, together with our finance and tax teams.
  • You take care of registrations and local compliance, including GST, Shops and Establishment, Professional Tax, EPFO and digital signatures, and keep our office addresses and licenses in order.
  • You own our POSH compliance: you support the Internal Committee, track its set-up, meetings and annual filings, organize trainings and keep case records confidential and complete.
  • You work with our external advisors, auditors and authorities, and make sure that external support is used where it adds value, and not where an Emmie can do it faster.
  • You act as legal sparring partner for our India team and advise on day-to-day questions, for example on contracts, e-commerce and consumer regulations, and other compliance topics, and involve external counsel when needed.
  • You support selected corporate secretarial tasks for our other APAC entities, together with our local teams and advisors.
  • You continuously improve our processes: compliance calendars, templates and documentation that make the next filing easier than the last one.

Who We're Looking For:

  • You are a qualified Company Secretary (ICSI) and/or hold a law degree with strong achievements.
  • You have 3+ years of experience in corporate secretarial and compliance work, ideally in-house at a multinational or at a law, company secretary or chartered accountant firm.
  • You have solid hands-on knowledge of the Indian Companies Act, FEMA/RBI regulations for foreign-owned subsidiaries, and the POSH Act.
  • Experience with GST, labour law registrations or e-commerce and consumer regulations in India is a plus. Exposure to other APAC jurisdictions is a big plus.
  • You are fluent in English and comfortable working with colleagues across time zones.
  • You are well organized, deadline-driven and detail-oriented, and you keep an overview when many filings come together.
  • You are hands-on and not afraid to speak up, you enjoy questioning the status quo and you are a true team player.

Become an Emmie

We are on a mission to become No.1 in the world of sleep, and we’re looking for driven, ambitious people to help us shape what’s next. If you’re curious, hands-on, and ready to challenge the status quo, you’ll find the space here to make things happen and create real impact.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to building an inclusive workplace. We celebrate diversity and consider all qualified applicants regardless of race, ethnic origin, religion or belief, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age.

Our aim is to get back to you within a few days. Due to the high volume of applications, there may be slight delays, but we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
