Job description

Location: India
Department: Sales

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) based in India.

As an Entrepreneur in Residence, you will work closely with the founders and leadership team to identify growth opportunities, solve strategic business challenges, and drive high-impact initiatives across the organization. You will take ownership of projects from initial concept to execution, helping transform ideas into scalable business solutions. Your responsibilities will span strategic planning, business analysis, cross-functional project management, and the development of new business models and partnerships. You will also play a key role in identifying operational bottlenecks, improving organizational efficiency, and supporting critical decision-making through data-driven insights. This position offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence business strategy in a fast-growing, remote-first environment. It is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious, analytical, and entrepreneurial professional who thrives on ownership, problem-solving, and building initiatives from the ground up.

Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Initiatives & Project Leadership: Plan, develop, and lead strategic projects and new initiatives aligned with key business priorities, ensuring timely execution, budget management, and achievement of defined objectives.
  • Founder Collaboration: Work directly with the founders to identify organizational challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and implement strategies that address operational bottlenecks and support business scalability.
  • Business Strategy & Execution: Support the development, communication, and implementation of corporate strategic initiatives, translating high-level business objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • 0-to-1 Initiative Development: Lead new initiatives from ideation to execution, including exploring new business models, establishing strategic partnerships, and managing organizational transformation projects.
  • Proof of Concept (POC) Management: Design and execute pilot projects and proof-of-concept initiatives, assess results, identify key learnings, and develop scalable processes before transitioning successful initiatives to long-term business owners.
  • Cross-Functional Project Management: Coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration, alignment, and timely delivery of strategic projects.
  • Business Analysis & Problem-Solving: Analyze business performance, market trends, and operational challenges to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend practical, data-backed solutions.
  • Special Projects & Leadership Support: Support founders with high-priority and ad hoc projects, acting as a liaison between leadership and key stakeholders while ensuring effective communication and execution.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with data analysts to interpret business data, generate actionable insights, and prepare comprehensive written reports and presentations for management.
  • Performance Monitoring: Prepare weekly and monthly reports, track project progress against established KPIs, and communicate updates, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, adapt established methodologies, and develop innovative approaches to support organizational growth.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution, preferably IITs or BITS.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in product management, program management, business operations, strategy, or a related field, preferably within a startup environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to break down complex business challenges into manageable components and develop clear, structured execution plans.
  • Excellent analytical skills and confidence working with large datasets to identify trends, extract relevant information, and generate meaningful business insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze data and build reports independently.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to develop business cases, evaluate opportunities, and translate strategic inputs into measurable business KPIs.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and adapting quickly to changing business priorities and evolving project requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders across different organizational levels and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects within tight timelines.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including planning, prioritization, execution, and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead important meetings, establish clear agendas, communicate recommendations, and drive actionable outcomes.
  • High levels of ownership, initiative, accountability, and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with founders, leadership, and multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working Monday to Friday, from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST (UK shift).
  • Benefits:

  • Fully remote working opportunity, with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • Competitive salary package with additional benefits.
  • Direct collaboration and exposure to founders and senior leadership.
  • Opportunity to lead strategic projects and build new business initiatives from the ground up.
  • Performance-driven and transparent work culture.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, continuous learning, and career development.
  • Exposure to diverse business functions, strategic decision-making, and high-impact organizational projects.
  • Technical & Remote Work Requirements:

  • Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps.
  • Personal laptop with at least 8 GB RAM for Windows or 3 GB RAM for Mac.
  • Minimum Intel Core i3 8th-generation processor running at 2.4 GHz.
  • Minimum 256 MB internal GPU.
  • Functional webcam and headset for professional communication.
  • Quiet, well-lit workspace suitable for remote meetings and focused work.
