Job description
Set up Factory.ai for analysis: install the Droid CLI, connect the repository and write an AGENTS.md with codebase context, module boundaries, and analysis conventions. Droid looks for AGENTS.md files up the folder tree, and nested files override the root one.
Run read-only analysis: configure Droids for comprehension only. Set autonomy and permissions so the Droids cannot modify code.
Inventory the codebase: use Droids to map modules, dependencies, the data model and configuration tables, and to separate custom code from out-of-the-box (OOTB) Blue Yonder components.
Extract the forecasting logic: trace algorithms (time series, moving averages, seasonality, causal factors), input feeds, parameter tables and calculation order. Produce logic flows, decision trees and pseudo-code.
Analyze volume drivers (headline deliverable): identify and rank every driver of labor demand, such as sales, transactions, units, traffic, carton/receipt volumes, markdowns and promotions. Build the driver forecast labor hours traceability matrix.
Extract the scheduling logic: document the rules engine, including labor rules, shift patterns, coverage optimization, availability and skills matching, and compliance constraints.
Plan the work as Missions: structure the analysis into features and milestones with Factory Missions, for example one milestone per module or per logic area.
Build Custom Droids and Skills: create reusable skills for PL/SQL logic tracing, configuration-table interpretation, lineage mapping and documentation templates.
Validate AI findings: cross-check every Droid-generated explanation against the source code, sample runs and historical data. Flag anything inferred or uncertain for SME review.
Support SME validation and knowledge transfer: run walkthroughs with Blue Yonder functional SMEs and business owners, incorporate their feedback, and help get sign-off.
Keep code and data secure: follow customer data-handling rules. Use Factory's sandboxed, governed execution and avoid exposing sensitive code or data.
