Java Backend Developer (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices)
We’re looking for a Java Backend Developer with strong Core Java fundamentals, hands-on experience in multithreading/concurrency, and solid knowledge of data structures. You will be responsible for building scalable backend services, designing robust APIs, and ensuring high performance and reliability of applications.
Position Summary
Level: Consultant or equivalent
As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality backend solutions within defined timelines. You may also mentor junior team members and collaborate with onsite/offshore teams to understand and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
Work You’ll Do
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices
Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency (multithreading, async processing)
Participate in end-to-end software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, support)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions
Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and performance tuning
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices
5+ years of experience in Java backend development
Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+)
Hands-on experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Experience with Spring Boot and REST API development
Experience in microservices architecture
Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science) or equivalent
