This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance across multiple business entities. You will oversee general ledger activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes within a global finance environment. Working closely with regional finance teams and operational stakeholders, you will contribute to reliable financial reporting and strong internal controls. The role combines hands-on accounting expertise with analytical problem-solving and continuous process improvement. You will also work with SAP S/4HANA and support compliance with Indian accounting and statutory requirements. If you thrive in a collaborative, international environment and enjoy improving financial processes, this position offers opportunities for professional growth and meaningful impact.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records while supporting efficient accounting operations and reliable reporting. Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Prepare and post general ledger journals in accordance with accounting policies and reporting requirements.

    • Maintain the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of ledger balances across assigned entities.

    • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.

    • Support timely month-end and year-end closing activities in line with global reporting deadlines.

    • Manage accruals, prepayments, and other period-end adjustments.

    • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across multiple entities.

    • Support statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, and management reporting requirements.

    • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, Operational Finance, and Shared Services teams to ensure consistent accounting practices.

    • Coordinate with auditors and external stakeholders by providing the required documentation, financial analysis, and supporting information.

    • Apply Indian accounting and statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and FLA filings.

    • Use SAP S/4HANA, particularly the FI/CO modules, to support accounting, reconciliation, and reporting activities.

    • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve financial processes, and enhance reporting efficiency.

    • Contribute to a robust internal control environment and support the standardization of finance operations.

    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, strong analytical capabilities, and experience working with financial systems in a complex or international business environment. The key qualifications and skills include:

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CA Inter qualification is preferred.

      • Strong understanding of IFRS and/or applicable local accounting standards.

      • Practical knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, period-end adjustments, and financial close processes.

      • Experience working in a multinational organization or Shared Services environment.

      • Familiarity with ERP financial systems, with experience using SAP S/4HANA and its FI/CO modules being particularly relevant.

      • Working knowledge of Indian statutory and tax requirements, including GST, TDS, and FLA filings.

      • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze and validate financial data.

      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.

      • High attention to detail and the ability to investigate unusual ledger movements and resolve accounting discrepancies.

      • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work confidently with global stakeholders across functions.

      • Adaptability and a proactive approach to working in evolving environments and improving established processes.

      • Experience in the services, travel, or events industry is an advantage.

      • Benefits:

        • Remote work: Work remotely from India.

        • Flexible working arrangements: Flexibility to work where and when you are most productive, depending on business needs.
