How We Work

Energy Exemplar is growing fast and that growth is driven by how we work. We trust our team to deliver great results from wherever they work best, whether that’s at home, in the office, or on the move.

We’re a global team that values ownership, integrity, and innovation. You’ll be supported to balance work and life in a way that works for you, and empowered to take initiative, solve problems, and make an impact, regardless of your background, location, or role.

Our four core values, Customer Success, One Global Team, Integrity & Ownership, and Innovation Excellence aren’t just words. They show up in how we collaborate, how we solve, and how we grow together.

About the Position

As Senior P&C Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the employee experience at Energy Exemplar, supporting assigned business functions across India. As the day-to-day P&C contact for managers and employees, you’ll build trusted relationships, understand team priorities and turn employee feedback and people data into practical recommendations that make a difference.

You’ll take ownership of key moments in the employee journey, from welcoming new starters and supporting probation through to offboarding, coordinating with relevant teams to deliver a smooth and positive experience. You’ll also help bring people programmes to life, guide managers through established policies and processes, and partner with the Senior Director, P&C on sensitive or complex matters.

This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys connecting with people, solving problems and taking initiative. How you work matters as much as what you deliver. We are looking for someone who brings a positive, constructive attitude, contributes to team success, actively seeks and applies feedback, and takes initiative to follow things through. The role offers opportunities to broaden your contribution and responsibility as you demonstrate sound judgment, consistent delivery and impact.

Key Accountabilities and Duties

  • Provide quality, timely and professional P&C advice to managers and employees on established people processes and policies and build effective working relationships with stakeholders across assigned functions.
  • Partner with managers to understand business priorities, team capability needs, employee motivations and retention risks, and help translate these into practical people actions for their teams.
  • Support the delivery of performance and development processes, including goal and review cycles, development plans, talent discussions and follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Work with managers to interpret engagement survey results and employee feedback, identify themes, agree relevant actions and monitor progress.
  • Be accountable for the onboarding experience for employees, including Energy Exemplar’s sign-to-start programme, manager readiness, induction coordination and probation follow-up. Identify opportunities to improve the new-joiner experience.
  • Conduct 30, 60 and 90 day new-joiner check-ins to assess the onboarding experience, identify issues requiring follow-up and share themes with managers and P&C leadership.
  • Coordinate employee changes and offboarding, conduct exit interviews where appropriate, and identify themes and recommendations for action.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely administration and safekeeping of employee records, HRIS information and documentation in line with local requirements and Global P&C processes.
  • Produce accurate and informative reports, including headcount, attrition, onboarding, engagement and employee movements, and share insights and recommendations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Global P&C team and internal partners to deliver consistent people processes and employee experiences across locations and suggest improvements to established practices.
  • Escalate sensitive employee relations matters, disciplinary issues, separations, compensation or policy exceptions, and significant people risks to the Senior Director, P&C for review and decision.
  • Use approved AI tools where appropriate to improve the quality and efficiency of P&C communications, reporting, analysis and routine workflows; verify outputs before use and protect confidential employee information.

Candidate Requirements

  • Constructive attitude and teamwork: Approaches challenges with a practical, solution-focused mindset, supports colleagues and contributes to shared outcomes. Willingly takes on the detailed and routine work needed to deliver a strong employee experience.
  • Coachability and self-awareness: Actively seeks feedback, listens openly, takes responsibility for errors and demonstrates how learning translates into improved performance.
  • Initiative and follow-through: Identifies what needs attention, recommends practical action and follows through on commitments without repeated prompting. Knows when to act independently and when to seek guidance.
  • Learning and growth: Shows curiosity about the business and the P&C profession, applies new learning and builds credibility through the quality and impact of their work.
  • Collaborative confidence: Listens to different perspectives, shares credit and adapts their approach when presented with better information. Can respectfully question an approach and offer an alternative.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in an HR generalist or people advisory role, including direct support to managers; experience in a product technology or software environment is an advantage.
  • Working understanding of India employment practices, HR compliance and relevant labour legislation, with the judgment to recognise when specialist advice is needed.
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes, performance and engagement programmes, and interpreting people data to recommend actions.
  • Ability to build trust with managers and employees, ask thoughtful questions, communicate clearly and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance portfolio priorities and deliver accurate work in a changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with BambooHR or a similar HRIS is desirable.
  • AI readiness: confidence using approved AI tools for drafting, analysis and routine workflows; ability to write useful prompts, verify results against source information, recognise errors or bias, and handle employee data in line with company requirements.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
