Job description

  • CMDB Administration: Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow CMDB setup, administration, and governance, including CMDB Health Dashboard, CI Class Manager, Data Manager, CI classes, attributes, relationships, and lifecycle management.
  • ServiceNow Discovery: Experience configuring and maintaining ServiceNow Discovery, including discovery schedules, credentials, patterns, probes, sensors, and troubleshooting discovery failures or incorrect discovery results.
  • MID Server & ACC: Hands-on experience with MID Server configuration, installation, maintenance, upgrades, connectivity, troubleshooting, and health monitoring. Experience with Agent Client Collector (ACC) configuration and maintenance.
  • Cloud Discovery: Experience with AWS Cloud Discovery, including discovery and reconciliation of cloud resources into the CMDB.
  • IRE & Data Quality: Strong understanding of the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), identification/reconciliation rules, data precedence, duplicate CI analysis, and remediation of CMDB data quality issues.
  • Service Graph Connectors: Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Service Graph Connectors and integrations used to populate and synchronize CMDB data.
  • Service Mapping: Hands-on experience with Service Mapping, including application service discovery, dependency mapping, service maps, and troubleshooting mapping issues.
  • Import Sets & Data Management: Experience with Import Sets, Transform Maps, Data Sources, and data transformation for CMDB data loading and integration.
  • CMDB Data Governance: Experience with CMDB Data Attestation and Certification, CI ownership, data validation, reconciliation, and maintaining CMDB accuracy and completeness.
  • External Credential Storage: Experience integrating and managing External Credential Storage (ECS) solutions such as CyberArk for Discovery and other ServiceNow integrations.
  • CI Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of the complete CI lifecycle, including creation, identification, updates, ownership, reconciliation, retirement, and removal of CIs.
  • SAM / SAM Pro: Working knowledge of ServiceNow Software Asset Management, including software models, entitlements, license compliance, software normalization, reclamation, and software asset lifecycle management.
  • HAM / HAM Pro: Working knowledge of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management, including hardware asset lifecycle, inventory, hardware models, asset-to-CI relationships, reconciliation, and asset retirement/disposal.
  • Dashboards & Reporting: Ability to analyze OOB ServiceNow dashboards, CMDB health metrics, reports, and data quality indicators and identify areas requiring remediation.
  • CSDM: Good understanding of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its relationship with CMDB structure, CI classes, services, and relationships.
