Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Angular.js/React.js to build scalable, high-performance web applications.

You will take end-to-end ownership of software development, including design, implementation, testing, test automation, debugging, and documentation. You will also be expected to embrace agentic development practices using tools such as Claude, leveraging AI agents to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery speed.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.

· Build responsive and scalable user interfaces using React.js (experience with Angular.js is also valuable).

· Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations using technologies such as Kafka.

· Contribute to software architecture and design decisions, with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.

· Take end-to-end ownership of quality by designing and executing tests, identifying and fixing defects, and building and maintaining automated test suites. Ensure adequate test coverage across relevant application layers.

· Adopt agentic development practices using Claude and other AI-assisted tools across the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, debugging, testing, test automation, and documentation.

· Use AI agents and automated workflows to accelerate development, reduce repetitive tasks, and deliver high-quality software faster.

· Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following established engineering standards and best practices.

· Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to solve technical problems and deliver solutions aligned with business and customer requirements.

· Continuously learn and adopt modern engineering tools, frameworks, and practices that improve development productivity and software quality.

Requirements

Key Requirements

· 3–6 years of hands-on software development experience, with strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.

· Proficiency in building web applications using React.js.

· Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.

· Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks.

· Strong understanding of software quality practices, debugging, and application performance optimization.

· Willingness and ability to learn and adopt agentic development practices, using tools such as Claude to build, test, debug, and ship software efficiently.

· Ability to take ownership of the complete development lifecycle, including quality assurance and test automation, rather than relying on a separate QA team.

· Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

What We Value

· End-to-end ownership: Build it, test it, automate it, and take responsibility for its quality.

· AI-first engineering: Actively embrace agentic development and use AI tools to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.

· Quality by design: Integrate testing and automation into development rather than treating QA as a separate phase.

· Continuous improvement: Experiment with modern engineering practices and continuously improve how software is designed, built, and delivered.
