Role & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Database Design & Architecture: Design and implement robust database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships following best practices and normalization principles Query Optimization: Write, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries and stored procedures for maximum performance Stored Procedure Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and functions for various business processes SSIS Package Development: Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) Performance Tuning: Monitor and analyze database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies Database Administration Support: Support database administration tasks including backups, recovery, maintenance, and security Data Migration: Plan and execute data migration projects between systems and databases Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database designs and SSIS processes Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing and ensure data integrity and quality Collaboration: Work with business analysts, application developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience as an MS SQL Developer or Database Developer Strong expertise in SQL Server database design and architecture Proven experience designing and creating database tables, schemas, and relationships Advanced T-SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers) Demonstrated expertise in SSIS package development and maintenance Strong experience with query and stored procedure performance tuning Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) Solid understanding of database indexing strategies and execution plans Experience with version control systems (Git, TFS, etc.)
