Coordinate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, stores and user departments to track purchase requirements, order status and delivery commitments. Proactively identify supply risks, expedite critical items and communicate potential delays with clear recovery actions.
Cost Analysis & Commercial Management
Conduct detailed cost analysis, price benchmarking and total-cost evaluation to establish the appropriate purchase cost for indirect materials and services. Monitor pricing and cost trends across affiliated and approved suppliers, and maintain visibility of commercial changes. Lead commercial negotiations covering price, payment terms, delivery terms, freight, warranty and other relevant conditions. Identify and implement cost-reduction, value-engineering and process-improvement initiatives at the supplier end or within internal processes.

Assess supplier capability with reference to technical competence, capacity, quality systems, delivery performance, financial/commercial suitability and responsiveness. Maintain an appropriate vendor base for assigned commodities and support supplier onboarding, evaluation and development.
Supplier Performance Management

Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews, agree corrective actions and monitor closure of identified gaps. Escalate recurring supplier risks and support decisions relating to development, alternate sourcing or supplier rationalization.
Inventory & Quality Control
Ensure commodity-wise inventory control by monitoring stock levels, consumption trends, lead times, reorder requirements and excess or obsolete inventory risks. Monitor incoming quality and address commodity-wise quality issues in coordination with Quality, Stores, Engineering, Finance and user departments. Drive root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, replacement or rework, and timely closure of supplier quality concerns.
Data, MIS & ERP Discipline
Prepare procurement data, management information reports and periodic dashboards covering spend, savings, supplier performance, inventory, delivery and quality. Ensure timely and accurate creation and maintenance of purchase-related data and transactions in the ERP system. Maintain complete procurement records, quotations, comparative statements, approvals, purchase orders, contracts and supplier documents in accordance with internal controls.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
Follow the approved procurement process, delegation of authority, compliance requirements and ethical sourcing standards. Partner with internal departments to understand demand, define specifications, prioritize requirements and improve purchasing effectiveness.
