Job description

Experience: 4+ yrs

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

As a VP Regulatory Reporting, you will lead the design, development and delivery of comprehensive financial and risk reporting solutions that meet the requirements of global regulators, supervisory bodies and internal stakeholders. You will be the key liaison between the regulatory analytics team, business units and external regulators, ensuring that all regulatory frameworks – including DSB 1 ALE, DSB 4 RAQ and Basel III Capital Adequacy – are accurately interpreted, incorporated and communicated through robust data pipelines and reporting dashboards. In this role you will leverage advanced analytics, data engineering and business intelligence skills to transform complex reporting specifications into actionable insights for senior leadership while maintaining the highest levels of data integrity, security and compliance. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will also champion the adoption of cutting‑edge technology and best practices to streamline reporting processes and reduce turnaround times in a fast‑changing regulatory environment.

Requirements

• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of regulatory reporting for DSB 1 ALE, DSB 4 RAQ and Basel III Capital Adequacy, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all regulatory mandates.

• Lead, mentor and expand a high‑performance team of analysts, data engineers and subject‑matter experts in regulatory reporting.

• Design and implement scalable data architecture and ETL pipelines that capture, cleanse, transform and store regulatory data from multiple source systems.

• Develop and maintain automated reporting frameworks, including batch and real‑time reporting solutions, to support regulatory timelines and ad‑hoc requests.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, translate and validate regulatory requirements into technical specifications and performance metrics.

• Conduct rigorous data validation, reconciliation and audit processes to guarantee data integrity and compliance with SOX, AML, and other regulatory safeguards.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators during audits, examinations and data requests, preparing and presenting findings and corrective actions.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, AI/ML tools) to enhance reporting efficiency and decision support.

• Provide strategic insight and actionable recommendations to senior executives on capital adequacy, risk exposure, and regulatory impact using advanced analytics and visualization techniques.

• Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends, proactively assessing the impact on existing reporting frameworks and recommending necessary adjustments.

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in regulatory reporting, with deep expertise in DSB 1 ALE, DSB 4 RAQ and Basel III Capital Adequacy.

• Proven track record of leading cross‑functional teams and delivering complex data solutions within a regulated financial environment.

• Strong technical proficiency in data warehousing, ETL, SQL, and BI tools, coupled with knowledge of modern cloud platforms and data integration best practices.

• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, data‑driven solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of simplifying technical concepts for non‑technical audiences and building trust with regulators.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.

• In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, audit processes, and compliance controls within banking or financial services.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.

• Strong leadership mindset with an emphasis on mentorship, team development and fostering a culture of ethical compliance.

• Advanced degree or professional certification in finance, economics, or related discipline is highly desirable.
