The Role
Your Role
Your role Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world's MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. You'll be in good company among our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely.
In this role, you'll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you'll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe's core data.
What you will do
- Delivery Management: Lead multiple projects, teams, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder commitments.
- Technical Leadership: Drive delivery across Java, .NET, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
- Application Modernization: Lead legacy transformation, cloud migration, and architecture upgrades.
- Engineering Excellence: Establish CI/CD, code quality, automated testing, and security best practices.
- AI & Automation: Drive adoption of AI-powered engineering and modernization solutions.
- Customer Management: Handle client reviews, escalations, change requests, and delivery governance.
- Team Leadership: Mentor teams, enable cross-skilling, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Risk & Quality Management: Manage risks, dependencies, performance, security, and operational readiness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with architects, platform teams, security teams, and business leaders.
- Operational Governance: Ensure SLA compliance, delivery reporting, and continuous service improvement.

Required skills and experience - 12-16 years of experience in application development, modernization, or enterprise application services.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical delivery, engineering leadership, or AMS delivery management.
- Experience managing large AMS portfolios (100+ resources) with SLA-driven delivery.
- Strong expertise in stakeholder management, delivery governance, estimation, resource planning, and risk management.
- Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot, .NET/.NET Core, APIs, integrations, and enterprise applications.
- Experience driving DevOps, CI/CD, automation, quality engineering, and cloud-native practices.
- Expertise in AI tools, agents, and AI-assisted SDLC.
- Experience managing L1, L2, and L3 support engagements.
- Strong customer engagement and large enterprise delivery experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience- Degree in CS/IT/Engineering with experience in application modernization, cloud migration, and transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of Azure/AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, enterprise databases, and architecture, integration, security, SRE, performance, and observability.
- Experience with AI technologies including RAG, agent orchestration, tool calling, context engineering, and guardrails.
- Proven track record in automation, operational excellence, and leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Industry experience across BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, or Manufacturing domains.
- Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, Cloud, DevOps, TOGAF, ITIL) with strong leadership, stakeholder management, mentoring, and communication skills.
