This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Operations Consultant based in India.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Consultant to help manage, secure, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure in a dynamic, globally collaborative environment. In this role, you will work primarily with AWS, supporting critical cloud operations and SAP workloads while ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will take ownership of infrastructure management, incident resolution, automation, and continuous operational improvements. The position offers opportunities to work with modern cloud technologies, strengthen security practices, and enhance monitoring and observability. You will collaborate with international teams, including infrastructure, engineering, and SAP specialists, to solve complex technical challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a cloud professional looking to make a meaningful impact on enterprise technology environments.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational stability.
  • Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Support SAP workloads hosted on AWS, including infrastructure upgrades, patching, backups, migrations, and performance optimization.
  • Strengthen cloud security by managing AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), enforcing least-privilege access, and addressing outdated credentials, policy drift, and excessive permissions.
  • Automate EC2 patching, infrastructure hardening, and compliance reporting to improve operational efficiency and security.
  • Enhance cloud monitoring and observability using tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Collaborate with SAP Basis teams, engineering specialists, and external vendors to ensure effective infrastructure operations and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cloud infrastructure reliability, automation, security, and operational processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise cloud environments through proactive maintenance and best practices.
  • Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in cloud operations, infrastructure support, or cloud engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in AWS.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services and infrastructure components, including EC2, networking, storage, and IAM.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, backup solutions, and cloud security best practices.
  • Practical experience supporting SAP infrastructure hosted on AWS, including patching, hardening, backup management, monitoring, and operational support.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS IAM and monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure automation and container technologies, particularly Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, is an advantage.
  • Exposure to Azure Entra ID and related identity management solutions is considered a plus.
  • AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are an added advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with distributed international teams.
  • A proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and commitment to continuous learning and operational excellence.
  • Benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation: Attractive remuneration package, including salary, performance bonuses, and additional benefits.
  • Flexible Working Arrangements: Flexible working hours and a hybrid work model.
  • International Exposure: Opportunity to collaborate with global teams and professionals across different regions.
  • Innovative Environment: Work in a stimulating, collaborative, and technology-driven environment.
  • Complex Projects: Gain exposure to challenging enterprise cloud and SAP infrastructure projects across multiple industries.
  • Collaborative Culture: Benefit from an international working environment with a minimal hierarchical structure.
  • Professional Development: Expand your expertise in AWS, cloud security, automation, infrastructure management, and enterprise technologies.
  • Ownership and Impact: Work in an environment that encourages initiative, shared responsibility, and meaningful contributions.
