Job Type: Full Time Impact you will realize: Job Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Core Java and related technologies. Apply object-oriented programming principles, design principles, and design patterns to develop maintainable and scalable solutions. Develop and enhance applications using the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SOAP services. Integrate messaging and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar platforms. Develop and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases to support application requirements. Use Git and modern version control practices to manage source code and support collaborative development. Work with CI/CD pipelines, automated build tools, and deployment processes to streamline software delivery. Troubleshoot application issues, perform debugging and root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions. Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and software engineering best practices. Learn new technologies and business domains independently while seeking guidance from mentors and peers when required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on application quality, performance, and engineering productivity. Key skills you will require: Primary Skills Core Java: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java and backend application development. Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, software design principles, and commonly used design patterns. Spring Framework and Spring Boot: Practical experience developing backend applications using Spring and Spring Boot. Web Services: Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and SOAP services. Messaging and Streaming: Exposure to messaging and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, or similar platforms. SQL and Databases: Experience with SQL programming and a good understanding of relational database concepts. Version Control: Hands-on experience with Git or other modern version control systems. CI/CD and Build Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated build tools, and application deployment practices. Analytical and Problem-Solving
Skills: Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities. Communication and Collaboration: Ability to communicate effectively and work with cross-functional teams. Adaptability and Learning: Ability to learn independently, work through ambiguity, and deliver solutions with guidance from mentors, peers, and subject matter experts. Secondary Skills Financial Services Domain: Experience in financial services, trade processing, post-trade operations, matching, settlement, or operations technology platforms is preferred. AI-Assisted Development: Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools to improve engineering productivity. Continuous Improvement: Willingness to adopt modern engineering practices and explore technologies that improve code quality and development efficiency.
