As a Lead Project Engineer, you will oversee the engineering execution of complex turbomachinery projects within the energy and industrial sectors, contributing to critical applications across the energy value chain. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams working on gas and steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, and associated equipment packages. You will drive design reviews, manage technical risks, resolve engineering challenges, and ensure effective communication across stakeholders. This is an opportunity to take ownership of technically demanding international projects while contributing to innovation and the evolving energy landscape.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the engineering execution of complex turbomachinery projects, covering gas and steam turbines, electric motor-driven compressors, and mechanical drive and power generation applications.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between customers, engineering teams, project management, quality, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Review customer requirements and contractual technical specifications, ensuring accurate interpretation and integration into engineering deliverables and product standards.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, design reviews, technical decisions, and project review processes to ensure timely and compliant execution.
  • Manage engineering documentation, including customer drawings, technical specifications, vendor document registers, and bills of materials.
  • Oversee engineering planning, resource allocation, productivity, project hours, budgets, and performance indicators.
  • Identify and mitigate technical and project risks, coordinate corrective action plans, and promote lessons learned across project teams.
  • Participate in customer meetings, including project kick-offs, coordination reviews, design reviews, HAZOP sessions, and project close-out meetings.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of engineering documentation and deliverables, supporting quality control plans, inspection and test plans, and customer quality reviews.
  • Lead the resolution of technical issues during project execution, developing action plans with clear responsibilities, deadlines, and solutions.
  • Support project change management by providing engineering inputs and assessing the impact of technical changes on project scope and delivery.
  • Review machinery test specifications and participate in equipment testing with suppliers and customers.
  • Collaborate with all relevant business functions to ensure customer expectations, technical standards, and project objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering roles within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably as a System Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, or Project Engineer.
  • Proven experience leading multiple technically complex projects, with strong capabilities in project planning, engineering coordination, and customer relationship management.
  • PMP certification is preferred, with the ability to demonstrate strong project management methodologies and practices.
  • Solid technical knowledge of Oil & Gas equipment, including gas and steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, expanders, reciprocating compressors, and their industrial applications and manufacturing processes.
  • Good understanding of relevant industry standards and methodologies, including API, ASME, HAZOP, design and model reviews, and FMEA.
  • Knowledge of applicable technical regulations, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and establish effective communication strategies.
  • Basic familiarity with 3D CAD tools and good working knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Project, MRP systems, and other engineering IT tools.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, combined with a proactive approach to technical challenges and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership of deliverables, and work effectively in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.
  • Benefits:

  • Flexible working arrangements, including flexible working hours and remote working possibilities.
  • Contemporary work-life balance policies and employee well-being initiatives.
  • Comprehensive private healthcare and medical coverage options.
  • Life insurance and disability protection programs.
  • Tailored financial programs and additional financial benefits.
  • Access to additional elective and voluntary benefits.
  • Opportunities for professional development, technical training, and career progression.
  • A collaborative and inclusive working environment that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
  • The opportunity to contribute to large-scale, technically challenging projects within the evolving energy and industrial technology sectors.
