Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with specialized expertise in ABAP on HANA to join our IT Services team. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust custom solutions that drive business efficiency within complex finance and logistics environments. Your work will be instrumental in optimizing our SAP S/4HANA landscape, ensuring high performance, and implementing modern development practices using tools like ABAP Development Tools and SAP Fiori. This position demands a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and the ability to leverage emerging technologies such as ABAP AI to enhance system capabilities.
Responsibilities
Architect and engineer high-performance ABAP applications tailored for SAP S/4HANA environments.
Develop and maintain user interfaces using SAP Fiori and SAP GUI, adhering to strict coding standards and best practices.
Design and implement OData services to facilitate seamless data integration and consumption across platforms.
Utilize ABAP Development Tools (ADT) within the Eclipse environment to streamline the development lifecycle.
Apply advanced ABAP Objects and object-oriented concepts to build scalable and modular software solutions.
Collaborate with domain experts to translate finance and logistics business requirements into technical specifications.
Explore and integrate emerging capabilities, including Joule for Developers and ABAP AI, to enhance application intelligence.
Ensure all code adheres to SAP coding standards, focusing on security, performance, and maintainability.
RequirementsRequirements:
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
Proven expertise in ABAP on HANA and migration projects to SAP S/4HANA.
Strong proficiency with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) and the Eclipse IDE.
Hands-on experience in building SAP Fiori applications and managing SAP GUI interfaces.
Solid grasp of OData services, ABAP Objects, and object-oriented programming principles.
Familiarity with SAP Coding Standards and industry best practices.
Domain knowledge in Finance and Logistics sectors is highly preferred.
Exposure to or interest in ABAP AI and Joule for Developers is considered a significant asset.
