The engineer will craft resilient event driven solutions with Kafka while ensuring robust data handling with SQL and PL or SQL MySQL for global stakeholders in a day shift model. 3. Responsibilities : -Design scalable microservice based applications using Java and Spring Boot that power secure asset and wealth management capabilities for institutional and retail clients in a hybrid work setup -Implement robust event driven solutions using Kafka to enable reliable real time processing of portfolios transactions and pricing feeds for critical business workflows -Develop responsive user interfaces using React and JavaScript that deliver intuitive dashboards for advisors operations teams and clients to interpret complex financial insights -Create and optimize SQL and PL or SQL MySQL queries that ensure accurate position valuations cash movements and regulatory reports across multiple asset classes -Integrate microservices with AWS services such as compute storage and messaging to achieve high availability fault tolerance and efficient resource utilization for production systems -Collaborate with product owners and domain experts in asset and wealth management to translate business requirements into technical designs that align with strategic platform goals -Enhance application performance and security by profiling critical services applying secure coding practices and resolving bottlenecks impacting trade execution and client reporting -Implement automated testing strategies including unit integration and contract tests to improve quality coverage and reduce regression risks across backend microservices and frontend modules -Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback that promotes clean coding practices modular design patterns and maintainable architectures for long term platform evolution -Troubleshoot complex production issues by analyzing logs metrics and traces to restore services quickly and prevent impact on investor transactions and advisory processes -Document system designs APIs and data flows in clear technical artifacts that support cross team understanding and facilitate onboarding for future engineers -Coordinate with DevOps and cloud engineers to refine CI CD pipelines that streamline deployments enforce quality gates and ensure consistent releases into AWS environments during day shifts -Participate in hybrid ceremonies and stakeholder discussions to align priorities manage technical debt and plan incremental deliveries that support sustainable innovation in wealth platforms -Qualifications -Combine a minimum of eight years of professional experience and strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot and microservices to design robust enterprise systems for financial services -Demonstrate hands on expertise in Kafka for building event driven pipelines that connect trading order management and reporting services within asset and wealth management platforms -Show advanced capability in React and JavaScript to develop rich browser based experiences for portfolio dashboards client onboarding and advisory tools -Exhibit strong database development experience with SQL and PL or SQL MySQL including schema design query optimization and data integrity controls for financial datasets -Apply practical knowledge of AWS cloud services for deploying monitoring and scaling microservices and web applications within secure hybrid cloud environments -Bring proven experience in asset and wealth management domains including understanding of portfolios instruments orders settlements and client lifecycle processes -Utilize familiarity with secure coding standards and regulatory expectations in financial technology to protect sensitive client and transaction data -Use excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model and a day shift schedule 9.
