Senior DevOps Engineer

What's the role?

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms that support HERE’s products and services. You will contribute to improving system reliability, automation, observability, and security while collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software delivery
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code practices
• Monitoring system performance, availability, and reliability, and driving continuous improvements
• Partnering with development teams to support application deployments and operational readiness
• Applying security best practices across infrastructure, pipelines, and runtime environments
• Participating in on‑call rotations and contributing to incident response and root cause analysis
• Sharing knowledge, mentoring team members, and contributing to DevOps standards and best practices

Who are you?

• You bring strong experience in DevOps, cloud platforms, and automation, along with a collaborative and problem‑solving mindset. You are comfortable working in distributed teams and enjoy improving systems through thoughtful engineering.

  You typically have:

  • Experience working as a DevOps, Platform, or Site Reliability Engineer
  • Hands‑on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, automation, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability practices
  • Familiarity with security concepts in cloud and DevOps environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and stakeholders
  • Clear communication skills and a continuous learning mindset
